Body Language Seminar
The Isle of Wight Cricket Board are running a Body Language seminar at Newclose on the Monday 18th January, starting at 6.30pm.

The course is free and is open to all Coaches & County Players as well.

Cricket For Teachers Course
The cricket for teachers course is open to any teacher working wth key stage two children.

Course description:
The aim is to provide updated skills training to current teachers to enable cricket to be taught in school in line with National Curriculum 2000 requirements. The course provides teachers with the current and up-to-date information on coaching cricket skills.

Cost: £ Free
Date: 22nd April
Time: 1-6pm
Venue: Isle of Wight Cricket Academy, Steephill Rd, Ventnor, PO38 1UF

UKCC Level 1 - Assistant Coaching Course
The IWCB is running a UKCC Level 1 - Assistant Cricket Coaching Course in October

The course is aimed at beginner coaches who will be able to ‘assist more qualified coaches, delivering aspects of coaching sessions, normally under direct supervision’.

This role may include running warm ups, cool downs, small sided games and small group work. The course is essentially designed for parents and volunteers starting on the coaching pathway.

The course will help coaches prepare for, deliver and review cricket coaching sessions. It will enable them to:

- Introduce and develop the game of cricket to people of all ages in a safe and enjoyable way
- Develop and improve players (as people as well as cricketers)
- Develop coaching skills, knowledge and qualities
- Demonstrate competence against UKCC/National standards for coaches

The programme consists of four three-hour modules and a final assessment

Dates: Monday 12th & 19th Oct, Wednesday 14th & 21st Oct (Must be able to attend all dates).
Assessment: Monday 26th Oct
Times: 6.30 - 9.30pm for all Sessions
Venue: Isle of Wight Academy, Steephill, Ventnor.
Cost: £130 (price includies subsidy)

Other information: You must by 16yrs +.
You will have to complete a child protection (SPC) & First Aid course, which is included with in the price.
