On Sunday 5th September 2010, at Shanklin, Bembridge CC won the Fred Winter Cup by beating Whitecroft by 40 runs. Man of the Match was Kieran Thompson (15) who took 4 wickets for 16 runs. |

Centurians started off steadily and looked set to get a big score. Then Bembridge took 3 quick wickets and slowed them down. Then Inett arrived and took the attack apart and Centurains, with the aid of 72 extras, ened up with a total of 262. Bembridge started off in great style scoring 43 in 6 overs before losing a wicket. Bembridge were well contained by some parsimonious bowling, particulary by Bill Maidment (8-5-6-1), and had only scored 36 by 20 overs. However Marco Obeyesekere then came to the crease and he and skipper Lee Thompson put on 99 runs in the next 14 overs! Marco finished on 77 not out and along with taking 3 wickets was clearly man-of-the-match. |

The annual Galway Cup match was played on Sunday 17th July at St Helens. With rare exception Bembridge batsmen were unable to make runs, accumulating 5 ducks! The highest scorer being Jim Flavell with 22 and they were all out for 94. St Helens quickly knocked off the runs before tea.
