The Under 15 Girls were defeated by 13 runs by Buckinghamshire at Northwood on Sunday.
Despite a fantastic knock of 73 from skipper Alex Barton the girls could not get over the finishing line in their pursuit of the 140 winning target.
Earlier Alex had bowled well taking 3 for 10 off of 7 overs, there were also wickets for Ellie Furmidge (2 for 15 off of 7 overs) and Caitlin Heelan who bowled their top scorier for 35 and had figures of 1 wicket for 14 runs off of 4 overs.
The inexperienced side competed well and were unlucky not to come away with a victory.
