Bembridge were well contained by some parsimonious bowling, particulary by Bill Maidment (8-5-6-1), and had only scored 36 by 20 overs. However Marco Obeyesekere then came to the crease and he and skipper Lee Thompson put on 99 runs in the next 14 overs! Marco finished on 77 not out and along with taking 3 wickets was clearly man-of-the-match.
