The Isle of Wight Cricket Academy is a state of the art cricket specific centre which is available to cricketers of ALL ages and abilities. Overlooking the unique Steephill ground, the Academy provides great opportunities for players to learn and develop their game, no matter what level of ability or age, and is available to all the cricket fraternity on the Island and beyond! The facility itself is a three-lane complex, with bowling machines, video analysis equipment and a video viewing room. There is wheelchair access throughout the whole complex. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS • Top quality Uni-turf playing surface • 3 different underlays to simulate specific pitch conditions (spin friendly, fast and standard) • State-of-the-art shock absorbers at the bowling ends to reduce physical stress on each bowler • Comprehensive lighting • Bowling machines with variable speed/swing/spin control • 3 permanent video cameras stationed at 3 points in a net for expert video analysis using Quintic, vital for modern day coaching.
