Historic Win the the Under 17s

The Island Under 17's recorded an historic win over Cornwall at Ryde in their first ever 2 day ECB Under 17 County Championship match. Batting first the Island scored 310 and batted for 120 overs which was a magnificent effort. Highlights of the innings were 74 from George Hatt and 72 from Chris Lewis. Of the Cornish bowlers, Johnson took 5 for 47 off 32 overs with 20 maidens. In reply only a fighting 130 not out G Tregenza stopped the Island from winning by a mamouth total as he steered Cornwall to a total og 252 all out.
