New Sports Facility for St Helens

The 7th September saw the opening of the new sports pavilion at St Helens. A large crowd gathered for the opening ceremony and were invited to a viewing of the new facilities. The pavilion which will be used by both the Cricket Club and Football Club took 16 months to complete and was funded by grants from the Football Foundation, a Biffa award and various donations from the local community. Charlie Millington, the secretary of the St Helens Sports Association, thanked everyone who had been involved with the project and said that the new facility will be a great asset to the village.
