World Cup Selection for Briggs

The Island's Danny Briggs has been selected to travel to New Zealand as part of the Engalnds ICC U19 World Cup Squad. This tops of a great year for Danny who made is debut for Hampshire 1st XI this year and has already represented England at U19 Level. The ICC tournament is taking place in New Zealand from 16th-30th January 2010 and Danny and his team mates will be leaving on New Years Day for Wellington. The team has two warm up games against Papua New Guinea U19 on 11th January and New Zealand U19 on 12th January. England’s World Cup Fixtures Hong Kong on 16th January Afghanistan on 18th January India on 20th January. The top two teams in each group will progress to the quarter finals.
