AFTER ANOTHER WONDERFULL ST HELENS TEA , THE DISSABILITY SIDE OPENED UP WITH GUEST RBO HOBBS AND CAPTAIN DAVE LLOYD, HE WAS DISSAPOINTED TO BE OUT BOWLED BY ROB LOVE, WKTS FELL AT REGULAR INTERVALS WITH ST HELENS YOUNG BOWLERS , DOING THE DAMAGE, R CRANFIELD,C DAVIS, S ROCKLEY EACH TAKING A WICKET, HOBBS MEANWHILE , WAS STEADILY COLLECTING USEFULL RUNS ABLY ASSISTED BY HIS RYDE TEAM MATE D HILLYARD EDGEING THEM TOWARDS THE REQUIRED TOTAL,HOBBS FINALLY PERISHED WELL CAUGHT BY DAVIS FROM H CARKEETS BOWLING FOR 84,
8 YEAR OLD A SAMPSON HAD HIS FIRST BOWL FOR THE CLUB AND TOOK THE WKT OF J ISAAC CLEAN BOWLED FOR 2 LEAVING D HILLYARD AND D CHILDS NOT OUT FOR 39 AND 10 AND 32 RUNS SHORT OF VICTORY.
GUY JOLLIFFE OF THE CRICKET BOARD PRESENTED THE CUP TO THE WINNING CAPTAIN STEVE RUSSELL AND CONGRATULATING BOTH SIDES FOR A GAME PLAYED IN THE SPIRIT OF CRICKET.
